In case you've never heard of "Stephens Community", it's a small area between Crawford and Maxeys on HWY 77.   It's mostly populated by farms and old family homes that have been here for decades.   There is a lot of history in this small community that adds to the overall beauty and charm of Oglethorpe County including The Antioch Baptist Church that was built in 1813!

This rural area has been a popular place for stray and abandoned animals to end up, and often times they don't make it to a shelter that can provide adequate care and help with finding them a new loving home.   There is a dire need in this area for a solution to that problem.   I am hoping to be a part of that solution!
